Last time we took a look at Stage 2 Email Marketing Strategy today we’re going to look at:
Stage 3 - Selling to your List
OBJECTIVE: List building creates a simple exchange system…you deliver incredible value and your customers pay to get access to your knowledge. You have to get good at this sales process. Focus on mastering these skills – driving traffic, generating leads, building relationships and using a call to action to ask for the sale. We are online to give value and make money.
STEP 1: Selling straight from your email:
- When adding a call to action in the email, you can put a payment button or a direct link to an affiliate sales page
STEP 2: Selling in a video sales letter:
- Use a sales page where you share good info and value through a video and then prompt your prospect to buy the recommended product or service – Optimize Press is a great tool for 5 minute sales letters
STEP 3: Selling in a webinar:
- You can do a selling webinar where you establish trust with your audience, give value throughout the webinar then at the end you have a call to action that presents your attendees with a solution to their problems, which is what they want considering they are on your webinar in the first place…to learn how they can overcome specific obstacles and challenges in their business. So give them what they came for, and close them out with a call to action that provides that solution, but with an upsell of a product that they can purchase, ensuring it’s of high quality!
STEP 4: Use the 6 Step Sales Cycle of Email Marketing
- Relationship - Build a rapport with your list by finding ways to connect with them. Be You, Be Personal, Be Real!
- Personality - Let your personality shine. People do business with people they like, make yourself likeable!
- Suggestion - Share insight and tips that will benefit them based on the needs they have.
- Pre-Sale - Give them a heads up of what you have coming soon and how it can benefit them.
- Sale - Go for the sale by sharing the common problem, ways to overcome it, and the solution, which is your product.
- Last Call - Go back to close the sale and give them that final notice of why they need your product!
If you get good at implementing this daily list building routine and follow the 6 Step Sales Cycle of Email Marketing you will no doubt have a successful business. As your list increases so will your income. So treat it with care!!
